Oil Products of C. Asian States to Be Transited to Southern Iranian Ports

Ashouri said that by end of this year on March 20, 2017, up to 300,000 tons of fuel oil from such Central Asian republics as Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will be exported to Iranian southern ports for exports to other destinations.

Elaborating on transit of oil consignments and oil products of the northern neighbors to southern ports of Iran, Ashouri said since start of this year on March 20 up to end of the fifth Iranian month of Mordad (August 21), 70,000 tons of fuel oil of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were transited to southern Iranian ports for exports to other parts of the world.  

He said 90 percent of the exported consignments belong to Turkmenistan and 10 percent to Kazakhstan.
