Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, director of production control at National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said two plants for production of ammonia (7,300tons/year) and a urea unit with 9,000 tons of annual capacity.
He further said that a European company has indicated readiness to join the two environment-saving projects.
The units are being developed for turning CO2, hydrogen and nitrogen emitted from adjacent petrochemical facilities in Assalouyeh II zone into value-added items.
The official also expressed optimism that the Research Center of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) will support the two projects scientifically.
