It was announced in the meeting of Deputy Minister of Petroleum for International Affairs and Trading Amir-Hossein Zamaninia with deputy chairman of the Gazprom management committee Vitaly Markelov.
The aim of the visit is continued talks for cooperation in gas projects, including development of a field in the Persian Gulf and LNG.
Planning to use more opportunities for cooperation in related fields of that sector of the oil industries and formation of a joint working group of Iranian and Gazprom experts will be discussed in the talks.
Gazprom has also voiced interest in establishment of LNG facilities in partnership with many other companies, including German companies, and the project is going to be discussed in the course of talks between the Russian delegation and Iranians in the upcoming Tehran visit.
The Iranian and Russian officials discussed extraction and production of oil as well as related technologies in a meeting on the sidelines of the Fourth International Annual Oil Session in Moscow.
Addressing the meeting, Zamaninia said Iran’s plans for development of oil and gas industries depend on domestic potential and using the latest technology.
