2nd Refinery Train of Phases 20&21 Ready for Sour Gas Reception

Operator of phases 20 and 21 development projects of the massive South Pars Gas Field Ali-Reza Ebadi told Shana that for the time being, different units of the section are installed.

He said the train will be operational once platform for phase 21 is also operational.

 

The first gas sweetening train of the phases’ refinery facilities had in August been prepared for receiving sour gas.

Ebadi put the gas extraction capacity of the platform for phase 21 at one billion cubic feet a day and said the platform will be operational by November 21.

He said once the project for development of phases 20 and 21 of South Pars us fully commissioned, production of gas for injection to nationwide gas trunklike will reach 50 million cubic meters a day.

He added that 77,000 barrels per day gas condensates,  one million tons/year liquid gas, and 400 tons of sulfur will be exported, while one million tons/year of ethane as feedstock of petrochemical units will be produced.

Last Monday, the 2,600-ton platform of phase 20 of South Pars, which is capable of extracting one billion cubic feet/day of gas alike platform for phase 21, was loaded from the Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA) Island Shipbuilding Yard (ISY) in Khorramshahr.
